Nairobi to Masai Mara National Reserve

After breakfast, our driver guide will drive you from Nairobi to Maasai Mara National Reserve, home to animals such as lions, cheetahs, elephants, zebras, and hippos. Lunch at the lodge. Safari in the afternoon. 

Full Day Game Drive Safari in Masai Mara National Reserve

Animal observation tours in the morning and at the end of the afternoon in this reserve, with spectacular and diverse landscapes. Includes all meals.

Masai Mara National Reserve to Isebania Border to Serengeti National Park

You will have an early morning breakfast. Then depart to Isebania Border with packed lunch, on your way to Serengeti National Park. Upon reaching the border finalize with the immigration department. Then exchange the vehicle – which you will be using while in Tanzania. Embark with the journey to the park where you will arrive in the evening. You will arrive at your camp on time for dinner and relaxing at your lodge – Full board.

Full Day Game Drive Safari in Serengeti National Park

Enjoy a full-day game drive through the vast Serengeti plains, home to diverse wildlife like lions, leopards, elephants, cheetahs, buffalo, giraffes, and more. Witness the Great Migration and a variety of bird species. End your adventurous day with a delicious dinner under the stars.

Serengeti National Park to Ngorongoro Conservation Area

We will begin our day with an early morning game drive in central Serengeti. The savannah is an active landscape and the air is flooded with the melodies the birds create as the regenerated sunlight starts to illuminate the full landscape. Your guide will study the prints on the ground to pursue predators. We will drive to the Comprehensive area located near the rim of the crater. You will be provided with dinner and satisfactory camping facilities.

Ngorongoro Crater to Moshi

Embark on an unforgettable Ngorongoro Crater Safari, a journey that combines breathtaking wildlife experiences with stunning landscapes. This safari takes you into the heart of the Ngorongoro Crater, home to the world’s largest intact volcanic caldera and an incredible concentration of wildlife, including lions, elephants, rhinos, and more. After an exciting game drive and exploration of this UNESCO World Heritage Site, the tour continues with a scenic drive to Moshi, a charming town nestled at the base of Mount Kilimanjaro. It’s the perfect blend of nature, adventure, and cultural discovery.

Moshi to Marangu Gate to Mandara Huts

Elevation (ft): 6,046 ft to 8,858 ft 

Distance: 8 km 

Hiking Time: 4-5 hours 

Habitat: Rainforest 

Hut: Mandara Huts. 

We head to the Marangu Gate for the necessary formalities before beginning our trek. The trail climbs through a tropical rainforest near the upper edge of the forest line, where we sometimes see playful blue monkeys. The trail then widens to expose beautiful hillsides until we reach Mandara Huts.

Mandara Huts to Horombo Huts

Elevation (ft): 8,858 ft to 12,205 ft 

Distance: 12 km 

Hiking Time: 6-8 hours 

Habitat: Heath / Moorland 

Our second day on the trail begins with a steep ascent through the forest and opens into high moorland. If the sky is clear, we may get our first views of Kibo and Mawenzi peaks, two of the three volcanic peaks that make up the summit of Kilimanjaro.

Horombo Huts: Acclimatization

Elevation (ft): 12,205 ft to 14,160 ft to 12,205 ft 

Distance: 10 km 

Hiking Time: 3-5 hours 

Habitat: Heath 

This extra day is used for acclimatization. We hike towards or all the way to Mawenzi Tarn Huts and back. The unique landscape offers motivating views of Kibo and Mawenzi.

Horombo Huts to Kibo Huts

Elevation (ft): 12,205 ft to 15,430 ft 

Distance: 10 km 

Hiking Time: 6-8 hours 

Habitat: Alpine Desert 

Today we climb gradually, then cross the lunar desert of the “Saddle” between Mawenzi and Kibo to reach our campsite which sits at the bottom of the Kibo crater wall. Once at camp we rest, enjoy an early dinner and prepare for summit day

Kibo Huts to Uhuru Peak to Horombo Huts

Elevation (ft): 15,430 ft to 19,341 ft to 12,205 ft 

Distance: 22 km 

Hiking Time: 10-13 hours 

Habitat: Arctic 

We wake in the middle of the night and begin the final push to reach the Roof of Africa. The trail to Gilman’s Point is very steep and the ascent will be slow and steady. From Gilman’s, it is a traverse along the crater rim to Uhuru Peak. We stay at the summit for a short time, to take photos and enjoy the views, before retracing our steps to all the way back to Horombo Huts.

Horombo Huts to Marangu Gate

Elevation (ft): 12,205 ft to 6,046 ft 

Distance: 20 km 

Hiking Time: 5-7 hours 

Habitat: Rain Forest 

A long trek is in store for today, however it is mostly downhill. Once at the park headquarters at Marangu Gate we pick up our certificate that proves our achievement and catches our vehicle transfer to the hotel in Moshi at your lodge.

Moshi - Airport, Fly to Zanzibar

After breakfast transfer to the airport and fly to Zanzibar. Up on arrival in Zanzibar will pick up from the airport and transfer to Tembo House Hotel (Bed and breakfast / Similar.

Prison Island

You will get the opportunity to visit the tortoise sanctuary, which contains a large colony of giant tortoises imported from Seychelles in the late 19th century. The average weight of these creatures is 200 kg, and many of them are said to be over 150 years old. There will be a chance to touch the tortoise and take photos. The island is also home to the cool beautiful peacocks. After a late afternoon drive back to Stone town then transfer you to Nungwi beach, overnight at Smiles Beach Hotel Meals HB / Similar for dinner and overnight.

Stone Town + Spice Plantation Tours

After breakfast, depart for a guided City Tour in Stone Town for 3hrs where our guide will introduce you to all the buildings of interest and famous viewpoints. Stone town and its buildings are full of history and stories of the old times of Zanzibar, during the Sultans (Arabs), Europeans and Missionaries. Zanzibar has written the history of this beautiful island. You will visit the Anglican Cathedral and the Slave markets, the Palace of the Sultans, Tip Tip’s House, the Old Arabic Fort, Fordham Park and of course the famous Zanzibar Doors in our petite little streets. We will show you Henna Art and bring you to the fruit and vegetable market. So be ready for a walk through the long history Zanzibar and its numerous streets.
