We will depart from Arusha early in the morning and head to Serengeti National Park, driving along a scenic road near the rim of Ngorongoro Crater, where wildlife sightings are common. As we enter the Serengeti, the vast golden savannahs and endless plains filled with zebras, wildebeest, and giraffes will reveal why it is celebrated as one of Africa’s Seven Natural Wonders. Lunch will be enjoyed picnic-style at Naabi Kopje, a rocky outcrop in the otherwise flat landscape, home to the Serengeti’s striking pink-headed lizards. Afterward, we continue deeper into the plains for a relaxed afternoon game drive before settling in for the night in the Serengeti.

Ngorongoro Crater to Arusha
After an early breakfast, we’ll head straight to Ngorongoro Crater, the perfect time to catch wildlife at its most active. The day will be spent on an exciting game drive across the crater floor, with a break for a picnic lunch by a scenic lake teeming with hippos and migratory birds. Known as a natural “oasis,” the crater offers an excellent chance to spot all members of the iconic Big Five—lion, elephant, leopard, rhino, and buffalo—some of Africa’s most powerful creatures.
