Scenic Train Journey – Mikumi National Park Game Drive
Your safari begins early with a transfer to Dar es Salaam SGR Railway Station by 5:00 am to board the 6:00 am scenic train to Morogoro, enjoying rural landscapes and village life en route. On arrival at 7:30 am, a representative will transfer you to Mikumi National Park where you will spend the day on a thrilling game drive across vast savannah and riverine areas, spotting elephants, giraffes, lions, wildebeest, and more. In the late afternoon, you’ll check into Camp Bastian Mikumi, unwind at the lodge, and enjoy dinner surrounded by nature.

Morning Safari – Return to Dar es Salaam by Train
After an early breakfast, set out for a morning game drive to explore new areas of Mikumi in search of predators, birdlife, and grazing herds. You’ll enjoy a picnic lunch inside the park before exiting around midday and transferring to Morogoro for the 4:20 pm train to Dar es Salaam. On arrival at 6:10 pm, you will be met and transferred back to City Retreat Bed & Breakfast where you can relax after an exciting safari.
